Air Vent Filter PTFE

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) air vent filters are used for a variety of applications, primarily where sterile or clean air is needed while preventing the entry of liquids. They are particularly useful in laboratory, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage industries. Examples of specific uses:

  • Fermentation:In brewing beer or making wine, PTFE vent filters ensure that only clean air enters the fermentation vessel.
  • Bioreactors and Culture Vessels:They maintain sterile conditions for cell cultures and other biological processes.
  • Autoclave Venting:PTFE filters are used in autoclaves to filter the air during venting and sterilization.
  • WFI (Water for Injection) Tanks:They ensure sterile air is available for filling lines or other processes.
  • Solvent Filtration:PTFE filters are used in laboratories and other industries to filter aggressive solvents.
  • Off-gassing:They are used downstream of fermenters and bioreactors to filter exhaust gases.
